This app was made for people who want to categorize/split their income and see it accumulate over time for each category.
You tell the app what buckets you want and what percent of your income should go to that bucket.
Every month when you make a deposit, it splits your money into each bucket. When you spend, it deducts the amount from that bucket.
At all times, you know exactly how much you have in each bucket. No guessing, no over spending.
I've been doing this manually for over 9 years and it's been one of the best disciplines I've kept. It gives me clarity over my finances and it helps me NOT overspend, and at the same time, allows me to spend, without guilt, on things I care about.
Some people say, "I don't to need manage my finances, because I don't have money to manage." Here's the thing, if we don't manage our finances, we will never have finances to manage.
This app was made to support those who want to improve their lives by improving the one area that affects all areas of their lives.
Give it a try, the it's free.
(There's an extra feature to connect your banks, but that's only for power users.)
Here are the steps:
By using this app, you will always know where you stand for each important area of your life. No guessing, no over spending.
Give it a try. Let us know what you think. Looking forward to hearing your story!
We're looking for a few ppl to be a part of "test" group. You'll get a free "power user" account to connect your bank. The only thing we ask is for you to share your thoughts and feedback. We want to make this as great a product for customers as possible.

Yes it is. All data transmissions are fully encrypted with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), a protocol which creates a secure encrypted connection between a client and the server. The server and all it's databases are protected behind a VPN (Virtual Private Network). Firewalls are active at all times and IP restrictions are in place.
In addition, all bank integrations are handled by trusted third party services. The same services that power apps you probably already use - Venmo, Coinbase, Robinhood, and thousands of other financial applications.
Nope. You can keep your money anywhere you want, in your banks, under your bed, in crypto wallets, etc.
Think of Buckets of Money as a ledger. It is an automated way to keep track of the current balance for each "bucket"/area in your life.
Buckets of Money maintains a running balance for each bucket/area in your life. Instead of knowing you have $XXXX in total, Buckets of Money lets you know exactly how much you have in each category. Because your income is split into each bucket, you always know where you stand in each spending category.
This helps us not over spend, while at the same time encourages us to save up over time in a category so that we can splurge, if we decide to.
Other apps only lets users create a budget each month, which resets to zero if you don't spend it all. It seems to encourage spending. It primes us to spend a certain amount each month.
